Hello!
I am an Earth Science educator and researcher living in the Pacific Northwest of the USA. I have been teaching a wide variety of Earth Science courses as a full time faculty member at Lower Columbia College since 2016.
My main research focus is the volcanoes of Bolivia. Specifically, I study how magmas originate beneath the high plateau of the Bolivian Altiplano, and how these magmas then find their way through some of the thickest continental crust on the planet before erupting onto the surface. My studies include some of the largest explosive eruptions on Earth!
I currently live in Portland, Oregon with my wife, Gisela, and daughter, Sajama.
